Castleisland Co-op Livestock Mart is a farmer owned co-operative established in 1959 which provides a Livestock auctioneering, Property Sales, Leasing and Valuations service to its clients. In that time it has grown to become one of the largest such centres in the country, drawing sellers from all over Kerry, West Limerick and North and West Cork, and buyers from all over Ireland as well as international buyers.
As this hinterland has very many dairy and suckler farms, the mart has unique access to a regular supply of top class suck calves of all breeds, as well as some of the finest suckler weanlings in the country. There is also a huge selection of store cattle and cows fo. r further feeding, as well as finished stock.
Castleisland Co-op Mart is also well known for its sales of Dairy stock, which are held regularly from November to May.
